Abortions should be legal.

I know many people don’t want to talk about abortions, but by not talking about them isn’t going to make it disappear. Abortions are sad because it means “killing a human life”, but at the same time we need to think logically. It’s not your brain or your body, you can’t decide or tell anybody what to do. I think it’s horrible that an option for an abortion depends on where you live and how much money you have. Around forty-five years ago, the supreme court's landmark Roe v. Wade ruling has legalized abortion, cancelling out most restrictions across the country. There is nearly 1,200 restrictive state laws that have enacted a women the ability to use this constitutional right. So, the overturn on Roe is slowly fading away. In many states such as Kentucky, Mississippi, North and South Dakota, West Virginia and Wyoming it’s almost impossible to get an abortion. In 2012 Texas only had 41 clinics and today nearly half still exist. Some states require a waiting period, this means if you have to wait three days and your a middle class citizen you will have to take two extra days off from work. Many states also have laws that deny health insurance coverage for abortions, so if you don’t have enough money then you can’t get an abortion. I think insurance should pay it because how do people expect you to raise a child if you don’t even have enough for an abortion. It’s easy to comment, but at the end of the day I don’t think anybody is going to give those people a hand (their going to be like, “It’s your child”).
